THE CORNELIUS-BROTHERTON FOUNDATION REWARDS YOUNG GASPESIANS AND MAGDALEN ISLANDERS WHO DECIDED TO PURSUE THEIR STUDIES IN THEIR REGION

Gaspé November 7, 2018. – The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles Foundation carries on its mission by attributing its entrance bursaries for an eleventh consecutive year. In all $ 8 500 – 17 bursaries – were awarded to secondary school graduates newly admitted to their first year at one of the four Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles campuses

Fate smiled on 17 students from throughout the territory whose names were drawn as recipients of a $500 welcome bursary. Even if the fund attribution program provides one bursary for each high school or adult education centre from its territory, some schools or centres are not present on the recipients list due to a lack of applicants

One $500 french immersion bursary was attributed to Devin Delhanty whereas the english immersion bursary was handed out to Meylan Samuel. Charlène Roberge, a student at Gaspé Campus, was rewarded for her leadership with a $500 scholarship for her remarkable involvement in her community.
